Shut Up And Play The Hits is a documentary all fans of LCD Soundsystem need to see. It documents the final days as James Murphy and co. were known as being in a band that adapted so many genres: post-punk, dance-punk, post-rock, rock, electronica, and crafted three near perfect albums before calling it a day.
The documentary is set to be the closure for the relationship between band and fans, and may also provide answers as to why they stopped after releasing outstanding album number three, This Is Happening, in 2010. I think it’s best for the group to leave at their peak, rather than continue on past their best-before date. But on the bright side, at least Shut Up And Play The Hits will provide the perfect soundtrack for fans to dance ourselves clean for the final time.
