The Dirty Nil returns
after the release of the Little Metal Baby Fist single – which was very good by the way – with Zombie Eyed, a
brand new track that comes off a split 7” with fellow band Northern Primitive. It
gives the New Year an early shot of volume as once again these guys deliver the
goods with the sole intention to rip your face off.
Everything about this
track is catchy, and The Dirty Nil does a great job at keeping everything
sounding fresh and exciting. The guitars blare out with some real intensity,
the bass stands defiant against the volume of its neighbours and the drums are
beaten hard enough to be heard clearly and round off this package of fuck
nicely.
Zombie Eyed is heavy. Every single element used to
create it feels like it’s been dragged around in gravel before recording as the
sound is gritty, rough and distorted with aggressiveness. It’s immense. It
gives off a real 90s vibe and dropkicks it right into your face, and that’s
awesome.
