Iceage have dropped a
second track from their highly anticipated sophomore album You’re Nothing. Ecstasy is a little more muddy and chaotic than the
previously released Coalition, and
that gets me hyped that the album is going to destroy my poor little eardrums
with sheer ferocity and awesome guitar riffs.
The vocals take a little
while to get used to as they seem to be on a totally different vibe from the
hectic, drum heavy instrumentation but from what I can recognise from it is yet
another brutal combination of chords. Once you get used to the vocals, you will
instantly appreciate the lyrics and how they are pronounce so despairingly,
awesome.
Look out for You’re Nothing with all of your eyes and
ears because it’s definitely going to be a highlight of 2013. It is out next
month via Matador Records.
